I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private practice in New York City. I bring over 35 years of clinical expertise in training, teaching, and working in the fields of substance abuse, eating disorders, trauma, and couples therapy. I am a Certified Imago Couples Therapist, a Certified EMDR Therapist, and an Internal Family Systems (IFS) Practitioner. I also have extensive post-graduate training in numerous modalities including EFT and Gottman couples therapy, as well as trauma-based interventions, addiction, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and mindfulness techniques.
I am a relational, interactive, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with individuals to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to achieving.
I earned my Masters Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University. I worked as an Adjunct Lecturer on Eating Disorders at the Post Masters Certificate Program in Clinical Approaches to Addictions at NYU Silver School of Social Work. I am also a former member of the NASW Addictions Committee and have given lectures at the Alcoholism Council of NY, Annual NASW-NYC Addictions Institute, and The Meadows Lecture Series.
